A zine is an unofficial, fanmade project containing art, writing, typically contained in a book or magazine, and often focused around a character and/or theme from a specific fandom. What is the theme of the zine? The theme of Bodhisattva is an exploration of the dichotomy between Suguru and Kenjaku, and how each pursues a uniquely different worldview while draped in the clothes of a compassionate monk.We aim to focus on the religious aspects that are deeply interwoven with their characters. What sort of content will be in the zine?Half will be dedicated to Geto Suguru, in the wake of his rise to villainy while dressed to fit the role of a saviour. The other half will be focused on Kenjaku as he works to realise the culmination of his centuries-long goals beyond that.Other characters and interactions will be allowed in the zine, however the focus will remain either Geto Suguru or Kenjaku. Content Guidelines
Bodhisattva's theme is an exploration of the dichotomy between Suguru and Kenjaku, and how each pursues a uniquely different worldview while draped in the clothes of a compassionate monk. We aim to focus on the religious/Buddhist aspects that are deeply interwoven with their characters.
The topics permitted in Bodhisattva include:
Spoilers from officially released chapters of the manga.
Depictions of canon-typical violence and gore.
Canon compliant and adjacent depictions.
Non-romantic depictions of relationships between characters.
Due to the nature of a dichotomy exploration, we will be capping pitches to prevent one of the two focuses from overtaking the other.
Depictions of Kenjaku in alternate hosts as long as they remain true to the theme of Bodhisattva.
NSFW Content Guidelines
"Worldly Desires" will be an NSFW, pdf-only add-on. The contents permitted in this section of the Zine are as follows:
All content allowed in Bodhisattva is permitted for Worldly Desires.
Sexually explicit works featuring Geto Suguru or Kenjaku.
Ships are allowed, but the primary focal point of the piece should remain on either Suguru or Kenjaku.
Pitches including ships will be capped to prevent too much overlap of same of pairings/tropes.
AUs are permitted as long as the setting remains within the scope of the canon world of Jujutsu Kaisen, eg: Heian or Edo period depictions, Hanahaki as a curse, etc.
All characters must be depicted as 18+
